Update at 5:30 pm: About once/week, usually in the middle of the night, someone posts a comment that has nothing to do with my post and embeds a hyperlink. I delete these as soon as I receive notice of them - usually around 4:45 am. The comments are usually advertising, but they can direct readers to sites put up by bad guys. If you ever see one of these before I get to it to delete it, do not click on the link embedded within the comments.
When readers leave Web site names that are related to the post and not hyperlinks, I leave them up. For example, advice to try www.amazon.com. That is not a hyperlink (underlined and clicking takes you to the site). You can type the URL into your location bar if you choose. These are OK. I usually check them out to make sure - if they are unfamiliar to me. Any hyperlinks I post are safe.
