Jessica Simpson's body is no longer John Mayer's wonderland. The couple, who had been dating for six months, has split, according to sources close to the singer.
"He was just over her," a Mayer pal tells Us Weekly. "He wasn't into her anymore. He was ready to move on."
"Jessica and John are done," a source close to Simpson adds. "She is really bummed, but wants to put her best foot forward and continue being out and about. She is just having fun and not interested in any new boys."
Hollywood's hottest odd couple only admitted to their relationship in March after months of intense media speculation. Simpson is currently at the Cannes Film Festival, while Mayer was spotted last weekend at New York City hotspot Stereo. But sources close to the couple aren't ruling out a reconciliation.
"They have broken up," a friend of the pop tart tells People. "But they have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times before. They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don't know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up."
