Jessica Alba Challenges Authority
No, the picture below is not from a movie set. On the heels of an interview about challenging authority, Jessica Alba proved to be a woman of her word.
“I love challenging authority,” the 26-year-old actress told InStyle in its June issue, on newsstands this Friday (May 25). “It probably wasn’t easy being my parents. The second somebody says ‘no’ to me is the second I’m going to jump up and say ‘yes!’”
Besides her brush with the law on Monday (May 21), Jessica is getting set for the promotional duties that come along with starring in a blockbuster flick. Reprising her role as Susan Storm, her latest film - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - is set to be released in the States on June 15.
Excited about what the future holds, “I’m finally getting to play characters and dive into things and not just be sort of this version of ‘this girl’” says Alba, who found herself typecast as “some kind of little tart.”
“Because obviously, if you have a womanly figure, you’re not allowed to have a brain or any idea of the world whatsoever. You just have to be hot and use your body to get ahead.”
While the LAPD officer was probably hoping that Alba possessed this ‘use your body to get ahead’ mentality, it just isn’t the case.
