Congratulations to Angela K, winner of the Bobbi Brights Eye Palette! She will be a colorful gal!
Bobbi Brown's limited-edition Bobbi Brights Eye Palette ($70) was a departure for Bobbi Brown. Launched early last year and inspired by the "fun kit" Bobbi used at Fashion Week, this collector's palette was designed for the woman who wants to play and experiment with bright colors. The palette features 35 soft matte shadows in a colorful shade range that includes everything from pinks and greens to blues and purples - every bright color you could ever want. These are bold colors. Use them for a dash of color if your skin is light - or a wash of color if you skin is darker. What a range of shades!
Here's the list...
Electric Pink, Gum Drop, Bubblegum, Pink, Flamingo, Watermelon, Sherbet, Samba, Coral, Peach, Honey Bell, Nugget, Buttercup, Maize, Day Glow, Macha Green, Shamrock, Jade, Eucalyptus, Sea Foam, Pacific, Breeze, Blue Denim, Cloud Blue, Ocean, Royal Blue, Electric Blue, Cornflower, Wisteria, Bluebell, Periwinkle, Blue Iris, Ultra Violet, Orchid, and Mulberry.
All of them are very tiny, but you don't need a huge pan of each bright, pigmented shade. Play with abandon! All the shades were new and exclusive to Bobbi Brights. The palette features a unique, fold-out design and a full-size mirror. It's great for traveling if you like to play with color when you are on the road.
The palette appeared at The Company Store, an outlet for the Estée Lauder Companies. I couldn't go this weekend, but my friend Paul did. I asked him to do a little shopping for me. Intrepid shopper that he is, he had no trouble walking into the store, asking for the Bobbi Brown section, and calling me with a description of what they had in stock. The minute he mentioned the Bobbi Brights Eye Palette, it went on my "Oh yes" list!
I bought this palette to give away to an adventurous makeup lover. To enter to win this week's giveaway contest, just leave a comment here once. After you comment, feel free to e-mail bestthingsinbeautycontests@gmail.com and identify your comment. You can never be too careful about sharing your e-mail address on a blog, so I would follow this second step if I were you (an alternative is to code your e-mail, e.g., myname at gmail dot com, in your comment).
You can "earn" a second entry by tweeting this contest. Just make sure to include "@BTiBeauty" (without the quotes) in your tweet. I will tweet the contest soon, and you can simply retweet it to earn that second entry.
The deadline for entries will be Saturday, October 9, at midnight. The next morning, I will use a random number generator (random.org) to select the winner. I will e-mail the winner at that time. The winner will have 48 hours to reply to my message and provide a shipping address. After 48 hours, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected.
This contest is open to anyone anywhere. Here are the terms. I will carefully pack and ship the prize (as I always do). I cannot insure the set for overseas shipment - it's amazingly expensive to do so. If it's lost or stolen in transit, I won't be able to replace it with another palette for an overseas winner. We'll see how this works. My shipping issues have occurred when I've shipped overseas - the packages to the U.S. and Canada always arrive without incident. I'll do my best on this end; let's see if your mail services do right by you on the other end if we have an overseas winner.
Good Luck!
