With a Monday holiday, didn't this week fly by? It's hard to believe it's time for The Friday Forum!
Here's a look at the Satsuki azaleas blooming in front of my screened porch. The name Satsuki (pronounced sat'ski) means fifth moon. It refers to the flowering period of these azaleas, which is in the fifth month of the oriental lunar calendar. That's late May/early June for the DC area. They extend our beautiful azalea season and bloom with the Kousa dogwoods - great landscape companions.
Most of you know, we share information in The Friday Forum. Are you using a fabulous product and want to sing its praises? Tell us about it! Did you find a beauty product disappointing? Tell us why! Do you have questions others might be able to answer? We can help! Want to talk about skin care? I'm game! Just use the comments. We have busy weekends and slow ones on the forum. Either way, I always enjoy hearing from you.
As usual, I will share the best beauty bits with you over the weekend. I'll put them in the comments. I may be a little slow to post - or write at unusual times - since I'm driving what should be an hour south (without traffic) and back later today and tomorrow afternoon for college reunion events. If I get a great deal, I'll put it in the comments.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway contest for Sephora's Bronze Deluxe Sampler! The deadline is tomorrow night (Saturday, June 5). Coming up after that, we have a giveaway for a great new beauty book, and there will be more than one prize. I'll tell you about that on Sunday.
The microphone is yours!
