Olsen Twins

Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Fuller Olsen are American actresses who rose to stardom when they were one year old. Born to David Olsen and Jarnette, they look identical, but the sisters are actually fraternal twins. The sisters first appeared in a TV hit series Full House, becoming baby celebrities right from the show's debut in 1987.

During the show’s eight-year run, Mary Kate and Ashley made several straight-to-video movies such as To Grandmother’s House We Go (1992), Double, Double, Toil and Trouble (1993), How the West Was Fun (1994) and The Little Rascals (1994).

Shortly after the end of Full House, Mary Kate and Ashley began marketing their image. They established a company Dualstar in 1993 and their brand in clothes, books, fragrances, magazines movies and posters has been sold over 3,000 stores in America and over 5500 stores worldwide. They have been listed among the Celebrity 100 list by Forbes since 2002 and in 2007 the magazine ranked them the eleventh richest women in entertainment with an estimated net worth of $100 million.

Mary Kate and Ashley starred in video series The Adventure of Mary Kate & Ashley, You’re Invited To Mary-Kate and Ashley’s, The Two of a Kind, and So Little Time. Their most recent appearance was in a romantic comedy New York Minutes. May Kate first appeared without Ashley in the movie Factory Girl. As they grow older, Mary Kate and Ashley showed interests in fashion world.

The New York Times declared Mary Kate a fashion icon for pioneering “homeless” look, often referred to as ashcan or bob-chic featuring oversized sunglass, boots, loose sweater and flowing skirts. Supermodels Kate Moss and Sienna Miller in Britain later popularized the style.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across America for girls ages 4-14 as well as a beauty line called "Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls. They were tapped as the faces of upscale fashion line Budgley Mischka in 2006 in an attempt to gain celebrity in the fashion industry after their association with Wal-Mart.They have also launched their own new couture fashion label The Row.
